hey all im at the airport and i will be for a while so im bored. thanks for al the birthday wishes. i had a lot of fun in downtown ptown with lindz. since it was a tuesday night, there wasnt really anyone else out... so it was a night of fun with lindz, jill, and a 45 yr old asian man doing the twist. it was fun though. lidsat and i were certainly the center of attntion everywhere we went, mostly because we were the only ones there. we went out again on thursday when there were more people and we met some new friends, including a creepy old man - friend of lindsays dad from their country club. and he was hitting on everyone and i was not pleasant. then lindsay met a new old man, and i looked on with slight disgust but amusement. we met a lot of random people, lindsay was really sketchy but all in good fun.
i had fun at home but im glad ill be in dc, theres only so much i can fight with kelsey and i run out of things to do in portland. im not excited to work full days, everyday though. not cool.
there re no hot boys travelling today. during layovers i need something to look at, but there are on;ly families here, and i dont like it.
on another note, our favorite officer an gentleman chose tessa which is cool. and on lost, ummmm what? if theyre no longer lost, whats the show about? i have faith jj abrams, but how is this going to work?
i miss scout and bubba already.
peace out |

Hi all.
im bored
im in JFK and i will be for the rest of my life. i realized i am a bad friend and should update this journal so here goes nothing.
Spring break kind of sucked. i fought with my mother a lot, but its not my fault that im always right and she is always wrong! kelsey was surprisingly managable. i got caught up on LOST and oh my gawwwddd, they found the others' homes, and jack was hanging out with them! voluntarily! i bought some clothes, not a lot though, maine doesnt offer a wide variety of shopping. i also was responsible and applied for internships, summer stuff etc. my application with the critical language program is in and i really hope i get it. the more i think about, the more i want to do it, and the more dispoointed im going to be when they inevitably tell me that i am a failure. i dont expect to hear anything form seeds of peace for while, then i applied for some internships in DC and a few other places (Lyon and Rome - sue wasn't too keen on these) but hey no harm in applying. im glad we have a place to live. im very excited, for th first time at GW i have housing that i like, that i want. ill have to learn how to not complain about housing, its come to be a natural part of my gw existene. i found out rachels going to do a program in brussels the first half of the summer and a program at oxford for the second half and with tracy in london that just spells European summer vaca to me... only i hour and 45 minutes left in JFK! yay! i got lowlights and cut 5 inches off of my hair! its not that much darker but im definately not blonde. if you saw me on the street and didnt know me or my flaky personality, i would be seeen as a brunette not a blonde. im hoing thats how possible employers will see me too. theyll think im actually responsible until i open my mouth and say something about the interesting dichotomy of Mark Wahlberg: on one side he is a rough kid from the wrong part of boston, spent time in prison as a young boy; and on the other side, a soft spoken gentle young man. really he is a very delicate man. and on that note. im tired of being on the computer, its making my legs really hot. |

Okkk... so i havent been good about lj like i should be, but i usually read them, i just forget to update. i havent in a little bit, so i read them all...
INFORMATION OVERLOAD!!!
i dont know what to do with all this!
vaness hooked up with a boy in a club! WHAAAAT? my world has officially turned upside down (vanessa, you make me proud)
and tracy that finals schedule does kind of suck, but yay for shopping. i mos def approve. im excited to see the uggs.
katie i cant believe im not going to see you next semester.. but we will definately have to hang out over xmas break/party on new years
angela i love your assignment, that is amazing, can you negotiate for me too? as far as i know, ill be walking into interviews saying "hi, my name is jill and im a political scientist. how do you like them apples?"
and emily, we really cant say enough how much we want to move to scandinavia (youre about ten feet away from me right now)
as for accents. i definately agree. I am obsessed with the aussies and scandies at this school. The scandies for obvious reasons and the aussies for the accent. there are two australians i see around here, one sans accent and one avec accent. the one sans accent has a canadian accent (ewww) ... and a girlfriend and i dont know how i feel about either of those aspects of him. the aussie avec accent is hottt but i really just like him from facebook, ive never actually had an interaction with him, ive barely seen him in person... thats how we stalkers roll.
also i found out i am living in New Hall 411... there was a big housing mixup. the housing office screwed up royally... shocker! i am living with 3 seniors, 1 is a lacrosse player and the other two look dramatic or theater-esque. so i refer to them as "Rocky and the Theater Club."
i dont want to leave paris! boo! |

ok... so I now have had all my classes and so far I think I will like them.
International Institutions: It's about international institutions... but we get to visit the World Bank in Paris and other places which should be fun.
Political Economy of Developing Countries: It seems interesting but really easy, the professor kind of teaches it as though its Comparative Politics for 8 yr. olds.
Global Hotspots and Conflict Resolution: There are a lot of opinionated people in this class that are already starting to get on my nerves.
History of the Non-European Mediteranean World - Post 1945: A lot of work, but really interesting.
Painting: two words: nude models... I see a lot of blushing and awkwardness in my future. |

Ok... so I'm in Paris! Yay! Woohoo! As you all saw from Emily's entry, we now have housing , but no internet yet... Our landlady/host mom/Madame said that she bought a router for her internet and just has to get the wireless set up, so hopefully we will have it soon but you never know. Because I can't do my online facebook stalking in the computer lab. I have to cover my tracks...
Soo the odds here for completing "Get Boys 2006" are slim to none. at the university there are 900 students, 30% guys, and of that very few that are actually straight/single. SLIM PICKINS!!
And that's all for now, but hopefully I'll have internet in my room soon so I won't have to make time in my day to go to the lab and try and remember what I wanted to do online. It's very frustrating. Byebye!! |
